Household Tips 3/23/2020 Traci Kenworth Curtains and rugs. Are you washing them with a ½ c. of apple cider vinegar to take the smell out? This works for other laundry, even clothes, as well. Sheets and blankets. Wash at least once a week, twice preferably. Dusting. When you dust, turn the A/C on, it takes care of what’s in the air. Cleaning itself. Use a mixture of vinegar & baking soda. Good for counters and floors. For tough stains, baking soda & rubbing alcohol. Tub rings, where? Disinfectant. I use Lysol Lemon scented. Spray doorknobs and doors. Anywhere germs might linger. Litter Box. There are these great scented blocks you can put in the box now to take the odor away. Or use baking soda. Pickup. If you spend a little time, it goes a long way toward keeping your house organized. To do this, every time you walk through a room, pick up the floor as you go. Put things where they belong. Teach the kids to do the same. It’ll make less work for you on those cleaning the house from top to bottom days.
