You know the ones that’ll snap your tail in a door after holding it open for you. The ones that’ll welcome you with open warmth until they hear a rumor and turn cold as January. Or bring their cats in on taking your pet to workday. Little Salmon sure is glaring mightly. Are rumors worth the price of destroying someone’s career? I admit, it feels good to have some ante on a superior or co-worker but using it leads to more trouble than just to them. No one quite trusts you again. The boss might consider you a bit of an old-fashioned tattle teller. And if you’re a boss yourself, who’s going to bother joking around with you in the local fish tavern at the end of the week? Maybe other sharks. Does the sand get sifted often enough? It could be a sign of shakeups to come. Water losing its cleanliness? Time to hire some bottom feeders.
