Spellbook Brownies Traci Kenworth Adapted from halfbakedharvest Ingredients 1 stick butter, melted ¾ c. sugar 2 t. vanilla 2 eggs ¾ c. unsweetened cocoa powder ½ c. gluten-free if making gluten-free, or all-purpose flour 1-2 T. instant coffee granules 1/3 c. choc. Chips 16 oz. chocolate bar, chopped ½ c. powdered sugar 1-2 t. black food dye Large candy eyes for decoration Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 8 x 8 dish with parchment paper. In medium bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs until combined. Add cocoa powder, flour, and coffee and stir until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 20-25 mins or until toothpick inserted clean. Let cool and cut into 9 bars. Freeze 15 mins. Meanwhile, using a double boiler, bring water to boil. Add chocolate to upper pan. Melt. Dip each frozen brownie into melted chocolate. Use fork to toss. Place on parchment paper on cookie sheet. Freeze 10 mins.
