Chocolate-covered Apples with Coatings Traci Kenworth This is my own recipe, created from ideas others had out there. These turned out really well and were a delicious addition. Ingredients Preference of chocolate melts/bark Coatings such as nuts, Oreos, Halloween sprinkles, etc. 12 skewers Parchment paper We used both white chocolate and milk chocolate as we prefer different chocolates. Melt the white first as the milk chocolate will lighten the white if you use it afterwards. Using a double boiler, melt chocolate. Insert skewers in apples with stems removed. Ready parchment paper to cool apples on. Have on hand your coatings: crushed Oreos, nuts, Halloween sprinkles, etc. Dip apples carefully in chocolate as will be hot. Allow to cool on parchment paper. Enjoy!
