Ciao, amici! How’s it going? I’ve seen some wonderful vacation pics from a few of you. I hope you’re all enjoying your summer.

I was not on vacation this week. (Or at all this summer.) And it’s either been too rainy or too hot to use the pool. (Yes, it can be too hot to cool off.) I’ve just been working. And working. And working.

Which brought me to this quote. Well, it’s not exactly a quote. It’s something I remember reading a long time ago (author unknown), and I always wished I knew who said it because it fit me perfectly:

And one day, the girl obsessively reading books
became the woman happily writing them.

I’m sure I paraphrased it. I couldn’t find the quote when I looked for it. But this was the gist. And it stuck with me for years. I am that girl-turned-woman. And I still…
