The Writer’s Wheel 4/28/19 Learning to Take One Day at a Time

Be thankful

Be thankful for your health. When it comes to having it in jeopardy, you need to put yourself before your blog, your writing, etc. Don’t overdue things when you’re recovering. It’ll take you longer to bounce back. Having come off two surgeries in the last couple of months, I’m ready to be healed and on my way but I still have a way to go before things will be back to normal. You do the best you can. I’m still hurting but getting better day after day.

New Possibility

I’m thinking of starting a new blog in the future about dollar diy home hacks and recipes. I’m not sure of the details yet, but it may be a future venture for me. My own blogs are starting to coast along at lower numbers and I thought maybe since I have to dig menus out for dinners and fix things at home, these would be two areas I’d be into. I’m not leaving my blogs here. No, they will go on and hopefully grow.

Keep Your Family Close

You never know when you will need one another or how one might help you with something your going through. Yesterday, was my mom’s eightieth b-day party. She’s still going strong. We gathered together at her home to wish her many more to come and to be thankful for all the memories we share. We know we may not always be here. We don’t know how long any of us have. But we’re determined to make the most of things.

Likewise, Your Friends

This is a tough life. Enjoy it with others. Writing can be a handful. Talk to others with know-how. Learn the rules. Listen. Find what works for you. Don’t turn out those willing to help. On the other hand, tune out those who wish to destroy. No one has that right. Keep open to the possibilities. Some people give up to soon. It’s true that the 2018 median salary was found for a writer to be $6,080 a year. It seems like a crushing defeat to press against those odds. Someday, others will learn what creatives are worth. Let’s hope we get there before it’s too late.

Have a great day, take care, and God bless!
